Expectations

Sometimes I wish I would just die young under tragic circumstances, so that everyone would remember me for everything that I could have been, instead of growing old and failing to live up to their expectations.
From PostSecret.org

As sad as it sounds, I think this is quite true. In my life, I have made and have been made so much expectations that I now find myself slowly slipping away from these expectations.
Am I not trying hard enough? Or did I just gave up trying?
I don't know. But I know for now, all I can do is to keep lowering the expectation I had for myself. Yes, as pathetic as it sounds, it actually keeps me from feeling like a loser.
For some reason, I always think that the grass over the other side is greener and kept wondering if I have made the right choice in my life. But I guess, you do not get a second chance in life.

expectation can be seen as 'hope' (i.e. hoping for something to happen)..
n hope is the thing which keeps everyone moving..
hence, there is nth wrong with having hope (or expectations), we just nid to recognise the fact that we r not the only thing/person deciding what will happen in the future.. wateva decisions we make, the outcome may differ frm wat is expected as other external influences can come into play...
e.g. I hope to be a close friend to a person, but his friend said it is illogical for us to be close, so he avoids me.. [Expectation: Being close friend]{Outcome: We move further from each other} ehehehe... u get the point?
cheers.. hehe..
